Cleaned Coriander (Kothimbir / Dhania) 200-350g

Coriander that arrives cleaned, roots and mud already off, so you pay for leaf and tender stem rather than for soil. Kothimbir in Marathi, dhania in Hindi, each pack weighing somewhere between 200g and 350g depending on the day's cut.

Cut in the morning on our farmer members' plots and delivered the next day. Coriander wilts faster than almost anything else in the basket, so the hours between field and kitchen are the only thing that really matters with it.

Chopped fine over amti and poha, ground into kothimbir chutney with peanut and green chilli, folded into kothimbir vadi with besan, and thrown into a thecha. The stems carry more flavour than the leaves, so chop them in rather than discarding them.

One pack per unit. Order it alongside potatoes and the rest of the vegetables.

How do I keep coriander fresh for longer

Wrap the bunch in a dry cotton cloth and keep it in the fridge, or stand the stems in a glass of water. Wet leaves rot within a day, so do not wash it until you need it.
